A Joyful Juneteenth Celebration at Hopeside! 🖤❤️💚

Yesterday, we honored Juneteenth with style, soul, and community spirit! Our residents came together for a special celebration featuring a fashion show, tea time, and live music—and it was nothing short of amazing. ✨

👗 Our fabulous residents hit the runway in outfits straight from their own closets, showcasing beauty, confidence, and culture. With over 25 attendees, the energy was filled with smiles, laughter, and meaningful moments of connection.

As the global population ages, the incidence of dementia is rising. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), around 55 million people worldwide are living with dementia, and this number is expected to nearly double by 2050. Early diagnosis, awareness, and intervention are crucial to improve the quality of life for those affected.

Recently, HopeSide Senior Community hosted a presentation on dementia. The community room filled up quickly with residents interested in learning more.

Being educated on dementia is not only important for individuals affected by the condition but also for society at large. Additionally, being educated can help to improve early diagnosis, support research, reduce stigma, and provide caregivers with the tools they need to offer compassionate care. As dementia continues to affect a growing number of people worldwide, it is essential to foster awareness and create a more informed, supportive environment for all.
