Last week, Litzy and Lorna traveled to Milwaukee to represent Providence Cristo Rey at the Cristo Rey SUMA (Student Union for Mission Alignment) Conference!
This year's theme was leadership, and they spent the week developing leadership skills, setting goals, and working alongside students from 16 other Cristo Rey schools from across the country. They participated in workshops, shared ideas, celebrated Mass, and built friendships with fellow student leaders.
The trip also included a tour of Marquette University, a college fair, and a visit to Summerfest.
We're excited to see how Litzy and Lorna use what they learned to make an impact back here at Providence Cristo Rey. Thank you for representing the Wolf Pack so well!

Today we had a special treat here at Providence Cristo Rey. Our Director of Admissions, Maria Aguirre, and Admissions & Enrollment Coordinator Alejandra Rovelo made authentic arepas for the staff to enjoy!
If you’ve never had one before, arepas are a traditional Venezuelan dish made from cornmeal dough, grilled until golden, and then filled with a variety of delicious fillings. They are one of the most iconic foods in Venezuela and are also enjoyed in Colombia.
We were lucky enough to try them fresh and they were incredible.
A huge thank you to Maria and Alejandra for sharing a piece of Maria’s home and culture with us. Experiences like this are a great reminder of the community and diversity we have here at PCR.
We appreciate you both so much

His passion for building communities where all can thrive aligns deeply with our mission and the values of Love, Mercy, and Justice that guide everything we do at Providence Cristo Rey.
As we prepare for this exciting new chapter, we are beyond grateful for the leadership of outgoing President & CEO Tyler Mayer and look forward to the future with great optimism.
