. Purity Chapter #51 will reflect on the vision of Dr. Carter G. Woodson, who established Negro History Week in 1926 to ensure Black stories were studied, preserved, and honored. For generations we have upheld this mission by recognizing that knowledge of the past informs present advocacy and shapes future leadership. Learning and understanding our history strengthens our ability to serve with A PURE HEART, A PURE PURPOSE, and PURE ACCOUNTABILITY to who we truly are. Black history is our responsibility. We must protect it, honor it, preserve our archives, sharing our stories, and advocate for its right as apart of American history. May we link our arms as Sisters and Brothers making this a part of our calling as members of Purity Chapter #51 and as members of the Order of Eastern Star.
