In front of a poster image of my artwork “Her Hair Is Her Glory” 2023. Selected along with the works of various other artists, to be part of an Arts & Cultural Festival Sidewalk Galleries held last weekend in downtown Indianapolis.

My work is on the south-east corner of Capital and Washington blvd., adjacent to the State Capitol. The location happens to hold meaningful memories… When we were children, my mother worked at the State Capitol complex. Sometimes on Fridays she would have my sister and I ride the bus down to meet her for lunch. There was a fruit vendor in the lobby of her building who sold nectarines (a cross between a peach and a plum)!! As much as we enjoyed that time with her. We looked forward to getting a nice juicy nectarine to take home. Great memories!!🍑🧡💞
