Received this superb IWB holster from CYA Supply Co. this evening. It fits perfectly and Im really pleased with it.

Good quality, fast shipping and at a great price.

This is one of those companies that provides a quality product, without gouging you in the process. I highly recommended them.

Fantastic G***k 17

I'm very late to the party with the G17. Having a G19 and 43X, didn't see any reason to own one.

I kept seeing posts from others who sung its praises, so I got one to see why. Yeah!! Its good alright and is now part of my carry.

Case closed!!

Fabulous Tisas ASF

Also known as Tisas Re*****on Rand clone. It has an unmarked slide, raised ejection port and has a realistic Parkerized finish.

I rarely fired this one, as the shell casings were erratic and I just didnt enjoy it as much as other Tisas 1911's that I have.

Instead of letting it gather dust, I removed the Parkerizing and blue treated it. I also adjusted the disconnector while it was stripped down.

It fires perfectly now amd I keep choosing it over other 1911's, when i go to the range. The reason I like it so much is a combination of how it feels and how it looks. The blueing is starting to wear slightly from all the use and it now has that slightly aged worn look.

2014 C**t Government

I purchased this from an estate sale and found it to be unused when it arrived. No box, no papers, but a perfect 2014 C**t time capsule.

After the poor performance of my new 2025 C**t, I wanted to experience how a C**t 1911 that was made in times of better QC would be like.

It is exactly how it came out of the factory, with metal trigger and MSH. I decided to fire it as is and have kept it that way. Even the springs are original.

It is the best performing C**t I own. The trigger is as close to perfect, as I could make myself using Nighthawk Custom🇺🇸 parts. You cant tell that it has an 80's trigger system and it is accurate.

This 1911 is proof that C**t was making quality 1911's back in 2014. I hope they can do it again.

Happy 45 Friday. 1977 C**t Series 70.

This has been fired in Texas. A lot!! Someone in the past actually shot this C**t. The internals were worn out, although the exterior was in remarkably good condition.

Based on its provenance, looks, the faded large roll marks and the new Wilson internals fitted, it is probably my favorite C**t.

Beretta M9 and 96A1 at the range.

I love these two fantastic examples of Berettas, one in 9mm and the other in 40 S&W. Both fire superb and the additional recoil of the 40, is heavily muted by the extra weight of the 96A1's frame.

I'm a firm 45 fan, but also like the 10mm / 40 S&W cartridges. There are a number videos on YouTube, extolling the hidden virtues of 40 and having 40 across multiple platforms, I agree with them.

Its definitely not a 'dead caliber' to me and wouldn't suprise me if it starts to see a resurgence, particularly when ammo shortages hit 9mm first of all.

If your happy with your choice of caliber, stick with it and practice. I still carry 9mm on all my EDC platforms, so I cant say that I carry 40 as a choice, buts it definitely an option for me.

When i make my mind up, I will let you know and if you disagree with me, I respect your opinion and feel free to comment.

Fully operational and complete.

This Springer has the raised ejection port and straight cocking serrations, but constantly jammed and was incapable of firing. It also had odd grips, with holes drilled in one side.

A visit to my gunsmith and we had it running flawlessly in less than an hour.

Some new replacement grips that copy the good side, some Double Tap and now it looks like new.

I have put 100 rounds through it and it fires flawless. Its in such (unexpectedly) good condition for a used 1911, that it's going to be elevated to safe queen status. Well maybe it will get fired occasionally 🙂

10mm Tuesday: C**t Delta Elite and Tisas D10!!

Both great fun to shoot, both very accurate, both have low(ish) recoil for a 10mm and both look great.

One is slightly more reliable and the other needs just a little more run in time. One is a C**t and the other is a Tisas. One represents better value than the other. One is a little more solid in your hand when firing. One looks amazing in Stainless.

I have no favorite and love them both !!

Beretta 92XI

The M9 is my favorite Beretta, however, the 92XI is the one that I would choose for competition. It includes as standard, all the modifications I put into the M9 and is very accurate.

I fitted the Crimson Trace laser to see if I prefer assisted aiming or sights. Being a 1911 guy, I still prefer the standard sights, as the laser made me shoot a little high. Nothing that some fine tuning wouldn't sort out of course, but I'm not really a laser or red dot person.

Let's see how I feel as age cintinues to creep up on me....
