Courtney Locke was training for another marathon in April 2026, when she suddenly experienced unexplained one evening after dinner.

A spinal tumor and bleed left her paralyzed from the waist down, turning the last two months into a life-changing journey.

She is ALL IN on her recovery 💪💪.

In this video, Courtney works with our physical and occupational therapists:

- First with locomotor training in a body-weight-support treadmill. The therapy team uses hand placement and sensory cueing to promote reflexive stepping.

- Next , combining Transcutaneous Spinal Stimution (electrical stimulation to the spinal cord), and Neuromuscular Electrical Stimulation (stimulation to the muscles and peripheral nerves) all to deliver input to the nervous system and promote recovery.

is a process: Keep pushing Courtney!!
