Living In Indianapolis
We are a local real estate team at United Real Estate Indianapolis specializing in local knowledge around Indy and the surrounding suburbs.
This place can give you the wrong impression.
A lot of people look at Whitestown and think it’s all new.
New neighborhoods, new construction, new everything.
And honestly… I used to think the same thing.
For years, Whitestown felt like this little blank spot on the map.
Back when I was driving through as a golf coach, we rarely saw a single person out here.
But that’s not the full story anymore.
In the heart of Whitestown, tucked away from the newer developments and the parkway, there’s this older pocket of town with real charm.
Moontown Brewing is a perfect example.
It’s one of those spots that just feels cool, unique, and way more “local personality” than people expect from a suburb that’s grown this fast.
And that’s the thing most visitors miss.
If you only drive through the newer neighborhoods…
And let’s be honest, a lot of people do that…
You’ll never find the cultural pieces that give Whitestown its character.
You won’t see the older pockets, the spots that Zionsville and Westfield residents come over for, or the tiny areas that still feel connected to what Whitestown used to be.
This place has exploded from just a few hundred people to more than 10,000.
And anytime growth happens that fast, you get layers.
New, old, and everything in between.
The charm doesn’t disappear… it just gets a little harder to find unless you know where to look.
So if you’re exploring Whitestown, don’t just hit the new stuff.
Wander a bit. Look for the hidden corners.
The best parts are usually the ones you’d never stumble on just by driving the main roads.
