Fundraiser Update: Sammy

In 2021, Sammy was diagnosed with leukemia. She went through 6 months of treatment, followed by 2 years of maintenance chemo. During that time, she and her husband had to leave their home, jobs, and family so she could get proper care.

On September 2, 2024, she received her last chemo and has been in complete remission ever since.

Now, one year later — September 2, 2025 — Sammy and her husband are expecting their first child, something she never thought would be possible in the middle of her fight.

She shared: “Truly a blessing from God and we give Him all the glory. We are overwhelmed with His grace and thankful for every single prayer/contribution that was made for us.”

Fundraiser Update: Adan (Esperanza Fundraiser)🎗️

Back in 2024, we launched the Esperanza Fundraiser to support Adan and his family as he battled leukemia.

On April 24, Adan received his bone marrow transplant. The family spent more than 100 days in Los Angeles during the process.

On July 29, the biopsy came back with the best news: the new cells are reproducing, they are 100% donor cells, and there are no signs of leukemia.

Adan shared: “Gracias a Dios el bone marrow transplant fue un éxito… ya no hay células mías, 100% son del donante. Ahora solo es recuperación y que mi cuerpo se ajuste a las nuevas células. God is Good.”
