Building Sustainable Non-Profits Through L3C Business Models

We discuss how non-profits can own for-profit companies, specifically through L3C structures. We explain our business portfolio approach where we operate multiple businesses under one umbrella—some experimental, some with growth potential. We share how revenue from these L3C ventures is redirected back to our non-profit organization, creating a sustainable funding model that helps us navigate today's challenging political and economic climate.

Grateful for an incredible experience with the Chicago Bulls and the NBA Foundation. Thank you for the warm invitation to a wonderful luncheon and an unforgettable VIP game experience. Opportunities like this continue to inspire the work we do and the young men we serve. We appreciate your continued support and partnership.

Male Mogul Initiative held its first Board and Staff Retreat at the beginning of the year at the Four Seasons in Westlake Village, California.

This retreat centered wellness, health, and sustainability alongside strategy. Time was intentionally set aside for rest, reflection, movement, and connection, recognizing that strong organizations are built by healthy people. Board and staff stepped away from day-to-day demands to reset mentally and physically while strengthening relationships.

In addition to strategic alignment and goal setting, the retreat created space for honest conversations, shared meals, and moments that reminded us why this work matters and who we are as people, not just professionals.

This experience reinforced a core value of the organization: impact is maximized when leadership prioritizes well-being, balance, and humanity. The retreat set a grounded, energized tone for the year ahead.
