Dream City is an Iowa City nonprofit founded in 2012 with a mission to inspire and empower communities by fostering meaningful connections through advocacy, the arts, community development, and holistic wellness. Originally established to address the growing number of youth affected by absentee fathers, Dream City has evolved into a comprehensive community organization that serves youth, families, and entrepreneurs with programs focused on leadership development, academic mentoring, performing arts, and business support. Their brand new Entrepreneurial Hub features commercial spaces for rent, an auditorium, and a commercial kitchen, demonstrating their commitment to supporting local entrepreneurs and providing resources for business growth. With a 97% high school graduation rate among participants and a track record of helping reconnect families, Dream City creates positive, nurturing environments that encourage community involvement, personal responsibility, and transformative change throughout Iowa City.
