Adam Bello's State of the County address a couple of weeks ago included a section of the speech (beginning at minute 32 in the link below) devoted to street safety. Bello outlined the School Bus Safety Program, referenced the 2023 county Active Transportation Plan, and the creation of the Community Traffic Safety Team. He then went on to announce that the county intends to adopt a Vision Zero policy, and coordinate with the city and with other municipalities to advance this strategy to eliminate all traffic-related fatalities and severe injuries while increasing safe, healthy, and equitable mobility for all.
