While teaching in Saturday I described an experience in nursing and said something shout “I went and played in the OR…” a student asked “played?” 😆
I said yes- played… I often come home and tell my husband, I got to play in OR.. went to NICU.. or got to see an event and play at work. Using the word play seems to be common in pediatrics, but for me it also shows how much I love my job. It can feel like play. ❤️‍🩹
There are many moments throughout my career where I say- wow I can’t believe I get paid to do this. Do you enjoy what you do so much you can call it play? 🏃 👧🏽👯‍♀️
