Jesse Michaels of Operation Ivy will appear on Alkaline Trio's upcoming album.

Matt Skiba revealed that Jesse Michaels recently stopped by the studio to contribute what he described as "secret guest vocals" to the band's new record.

"Had an AMAZING almost last day in the studio with Jesse Michaels who f**ing CRUSHED some secret guest vocals," the Alkaline Trio frontman shared.

Michaels later confirmed his involvement, writing: "Got to do some backups on the new Alkaline Trio. The new record is kiIIer and one of the most supportive and kind-hearted groups of people I've ever had the pleasure of punishing."

Adding even more anticipation to the project, it was previously revealed that Travis Barker of blink-182 is heavily involved in the album's creation. In addition to producing the record, Barker is also handling the drum performances, giving him a far more hands-on role than that of a traditional producer.
