Some hurts leave marks on our hearts.
And while forgiveness doesn't erase the past, it can keep the past from continuing to shape how we relate to God, ourselves, and others.
Jesus invites us into a kind of forgiveness that is honest about pain, rooted in grace, and open to healing.
In this week's Soul Talks, we explore common misconceptions about forgiveness and how God's mercy helps us release those who have hurt us.

Some days don’t feel very spiritual.
I wake up feeling feel tired and annoyed. I have things to do that I don’t want to do. Nothing feels important, just a list of tasks.
But then I remember: Jesus spent most of his life doing mundane, ordinary work.
He went to work.
He loved his neighbors.
He waited on God’s timing.
He embraced obscurity.
What if your ordinary day isn’t something to just get through, but a place where God is forming you?
You don’t have to escape your routine to experience Jesus. You just have to be present to him in it.
Whatever today holds—however unseen, repetitive, or small it feels—remember that Jesus is with you in it ❤️

Just because your prayers haven’t been answered the way you hoped… doesn’t mean your faith has failed.
Maybe you’ve been there.
Or maybe you’re there right now—wondering if you’ve done something wrong, questioning whether your prayers are strong enough or your faith is big enough.
You might even feel the sting of shame, thinking, “If I had more faith, this wouldn’t be happening.”
But friend, the story of faith in Scripture tells us something very different.
Hebrews 11 lists the great heroes of the faith. And yet, some of them never saw the fulfillment of the promises they were trusting God for.
Still, their faith was not dismissed or diminished.
It was honored.
Because real faith isn’t proven by outcomes.
It’s revealed in the waiting.
It’s formed in the fire.
It’s strengthened in the silence.
Sometimes faith looks like holding on when nothing makes sense.
It looks like trusting God one small step at a time,
even when the path is hidden and your heart feels weary.
So if it feels like your prayers aren’t being unanswered right now, know this: it doesn’t mean God has turned away or that you’ve failed.
God sees your trust.
He knows how much it costs you to keep showing up.
And he is gently, faithfully holding your heart.
Keep bringing your whole heart to Jesus.
He cares.
He’s near.
And he’s not done writing your story 🤍

The Bible isn’t silent about anxiety.
It doesn’t brush past your struggle or offer surface-level solutions. It speaks directly to your heart.
Again and again, Scripture reminds us:
God doesn’t wait for us to feel calm before he shows up.
You are seen.
You are loved.
And you are not alone.
If you’re longing for peace, you don’t have to figure it out alone.
Our spiritual directors are here to walk with you and help you experience the nearness of Jesus in practical, healing ways.
