Sexual Assault Awareness Month reminds us that s*xual assault can take many forms, including any unwanted s*xual contact, coercion, or behavior carried out without consent.

Sexual violence affects people of every age, background, and community. Survivors are often harmed not only by the assault itself, but also by silence, stigma, and disbelief. Awareness begins with education, but prevention requires all of us to build environments where respect, consent, and accountability are the norm.

This month is also a reminder of the power of solidarity. When one woman shares her story, it often creates space for another to realize she is not alone. Listening to women. Believing survivors. Center their voices.
