Senior Spotlight 4/4❣️Ella Tantillo

Ella has been playing tennis since when she joined varsity in 8th grade. It is her 5th year on the team and 2nd year as a captain. Ella has been a starting singles player every season, she was 4th singles in 8th grade, 3rd as a freshman, 2nd her sophomore year, and 1st singles her junior and senior year. She sometimes switches over to doubles during team league play, but goes singles in tournament. Last year she placed 3rd in the Division Singles Tournament, and has gotten multiple All-League and All-County Awards. She is a 2x Team MVP and after high school she plans on majoring in French Horn Performance at a University or Conservatory.

Senior Spotlight 2/4 ❣️ Erin Fredrickson

Erin chose tennis because she loves being apart of a team as well as competing. She was 1st singles in 8th grade for the middle school team. Following that, in 10th grade she was 1st singles for the JV team. She got moved up to varsity her junior year, and has been playing a mix of 2nd and 3rd doubles for the team. Last year Erin and her doubles partner made it pretty far in the League Tournament, receiving an All-Division Doubles award. After high school, Erin plans to further her education at a university.

Congratulations to Ella Tantillo and Lea Farley on proving to be the best doubles team of the Islips!! They won all three 1st doubles matches going 6-1 7-5 against West Islip, 6-2 2-6 6-2 against Islip, and 6-1 6-0 against Central Islip. Keep up the good work!!

Team wins against Sayville and Copaigue called for some celebratory donuts🍩🍩 Close matches as a team going 3-4 against both Islip and West Islip. Huge to Ruby Micali and Erin Fredrickson on finishing the rest of their match this morning against Sayville to pull out the team win of 4-3.
