SIBO kits are back! We’ve been working closely with Quintron Instrument Company over the last few months to ensure that we have an ample supply of SIBO test kits on hand to provide those to your patients quickly and whenever needed. We expect to have plenty of kits available in 2023, and we’re back to the usual 24-hour turnaround time for test kit shipment.

As always, sample analysis continues to operate on a same-day turnaround time with reports delivered to the ordering provider within 12 hours of sample receipt.

Thank you for you patience and understanding over the last couple of months as we’ve overcome this supply chain shortage.

Did you know that an estimated 60% of irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) cases are caused by underlying SIBO? Many people are given a lifetime diagnosis of IBS without hopes of symptom resolution, but this means that 60% of IBS has a cure if SIBO is present!

Common gastrointestinal symptoms that may indicate SIBO include:

Abdominal bloating, usually better in the morning and worse as the day progresses
Abdominal pain
Constipation and/or diarrhea
Acid reflux
Food sensitivities
GI symptoms develop after acute gastroenteritis (i.e. “stomach flu”, food poisoning, traveler’s diarrhea)
Worsened GI symptoms when eating carbohydrates, high fiber foods, onions, garlic, and apples

If you have been diagnosed with IBS without an explanation as to why you’re having symptoms, or experience any of the symptoms listed above on a regular basis, consider talking to a doctor about ordering a SIBO breath test.
