We’re excited to welcome Wonderful Wheelchairs to Zero Waste Ithaca’s Reuse Partner Network!

Look for their Circular Economy sticker when you visit.

What does this mean?

Wonderful Wheelchairs helps keep mobility equipment in use by repairing, refurbishing, and redistributing wheelchairs and other assistive devices that might otherwise end up as waste. By extending the life of this equipment, they’re improving access while reducing unnecessary waste.

One of our favorite quotes from founder Tom says it best:

“This is a labor of love.” 💚

Powered largely by dedicated retired volunteers and operating with minimal funding, Wonderful Wheelchairs is doing something truly special.

Their program is one of the few of its kind in the country‼️, helping adults find refurbished wheelchairs and mobility equipment that can make a life-changing difference.

We’re grateful to have Wonderful Wheelchairs as part of our Reuse Business Network and for the incredible work they do to support both people and the planet.
