Our October gathering will be held one week from today, Tuesday, October 28th. As usual, we’ll gather at 6:30PM for pilot talk and snacks, with the program beginning promptly at 7:00PM.
Our program this month will be presented by Chapter 811 member Jim Wells, who will talk about his brand-new 1948 Aeronca Sedan. This has been a multi-year project to restore this classic four-place taildragger to better-than-new condition. Jim flew the Sedan to our September gathering at Jack Henion’s airstrip – that’s where I took the photos at right – and I’ve heard him flying around the area many times since then. This should be an interesting program, and I hope you’ll all turn out to hear the talk.
