Yesterday, the Urban Land Institute did a tour of the Vanguard. We are really proud of this project that took us so far from home - to Boise, Idaho, and that will make this area of the city even more beautiful and active.

Downtown Ithaca in the near future will be a more welcoming place for all! Visum and our partners at Providence Housing Development Corporation are delighted to share that we received final planning approvals for Stately Apartments at 510 W State/MLK St this week. Today we are submitting our funding application for Low Income Housing Tax Credits, which will reserve Stately’s 57 apartments for households making roughly between $20,000 and $53,000 a year.

Ithaca has an immense need for more affordable housing. Families in and around Tompkins County are struggling to pay rent, commute long distances, and save up for their aspirations. The future 57 families at Stately Apartments will have the best of Ithaca at their doorstep: a high-quality school system, plentiful jobs with short commutes, and beautiful natural scenery. At Visum, we strongly believe that a dense and income-diverse downtown is crucial for building an opportunity-rich city. We are so thankful to have the chance to make such a positive impact in our community!
