This is critically important and not well understood by most players. Generally, players see the apex of a putt, and they aim at it, and miss low, or try to hit it hard and end up too long. You need to putt above the apex point so that the ball gets to the apex. Dave Pelz used this formula; if you read a 3 inch break, aim 3 times that away from the hole, or 9 inches. Try this and it should help you improve!
