This Coffee Date Smoothie is one of my favorite ways to turn a cup of coffee into a nourishing breakfast—creamy, naturally sweetened with dates, and made with simple, brain-supportive ingredients. It comes together in just a few minutes.

Bonus tip: Freeze leftover coffee into ice cubes so you always have them ready for smoothies or iced coffee.

What if one of the best things you could do for your brain... was cook dinner?

We often think of cooking as a way to nourish our bodies. But it also gives our brains a workout.

Every time you plan a meal, remember ingredients, follow a recipe, chop vegetables, time multiple dishes, and bring everything together, you’re engaging memory, attention, executive function, and problem-solving.

Research even suggests that cooking more frequently may be associated with better brain health…especially for older adults, where cooking can support both cognitive function and social connection.

The takeaway? Cooking isn’t just about what’s on your plate. It’s about what happens in your brain while you’re preparing it.
