We are currently looking to fill the following position(s).

Machine Tool Service – Repair - Rebuild Technician

77 Year old established machine tool rebuild and repair company is currently seeking a knowledgeable Machine Tool Service - Repair - Rebuild Technician..

The ideal candidate would possess skill sets including self-sufficient, hardworking, task oriented, honest and motivated. We are looking for an individual that is a team player that will work together with highly skilled machinery builder / repair technicians. F. P. Miller Co is willing to invest in training the right candidate.

Duties and responsibilities include:

Candidate will be involved with machine tool rebuild, and repair which will include identifying worn parts
Assist in shop jobs including tear down, inspection and rebuilds of complete units
Mechanical Troubleshooting abilities, rebuild gear boxes.
Fit Slides to ways, Scrape and flake wear surfaces (hand scrape with Biax scraper)
Knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic and l**e systems is helpful
Basic 230/460 Volt, 3 phase knowledge
Self-disciplined and able to work without direct supervision.
Some travel may be required
Mechanical assembly/disassembly abilities including fits and tolerances
Communication w/ Plant Manager to identify solutions to problems on machine tools.
Provide outstanding customer service which will include some travel and troubleshooting
Successful Candidate will have:

A great work ethic and strong customer service skills
A strong mechanical aptitude.
Good driving record (Mandatory).
Previous experience involving machine repair, management and customer service
Excellent communications and problem solving skills.
Computer skills necessary
Candidate must pass pre-employment physical and drug screen (which includes ma*****na)
Normal hours of work are M-F, 7 AM -3:30 PM. F P Miller Co is a 24-7 service company; emergency/break down work may dictate starting hours and week-end work. After 90 day trail period, employee qualifies for company compensation and benefits package.
