Work and Witness Jaxnaz

We just got back from Cheboygan, MI with a Work and Witness Team of 15 people. It was a very successful trip. We did a lot of good work. Completely organized the food pantry, storage area and kitchen of the Lord's Kitchen, a soup kitchen that feeds between 7-10,000 lunches per year. They serve 5 days per week 52 weeks a year. The kitchen is a Compassionate Ministries Center run out of the Cheboygan church of the Nazarene. When we left Russell, the interim kitchen manager was thrilled with the work that we had done. In addition we did some work on the Pastor's home, Repaired the front deck and repainted, repaired and repainted the back steps, 40' of chain link fence put up, and repaired the roof. Also we fixed a rear entry door and painted the door and trim inside and out, replaced a storm door at another residence, hung a ,mini blind and taped and finished a garage ceiling (drywall). There was even time to do some fishing, eat pasties, and visit Mackinac Island. Wow what a trip. Thanks to the entire team for a job well done
