As I look out at these beehives and the bees flying, I am thankful.
People often ask me why I am a beekeeper. Part of the story I always tell them is this:
When I was a young girl, one of my best friends, Brandi Walters, her dad kept honeybees. I vividly remember him bringing in a jar with beautiful honeycomb filled with sweet, delicious honey 🍯. He would give us some and we would chew the wax and eat up all that yummy goodness.
I thought that was so “cool”. It’s part of my story on why I always wanted to be a beekeeper.
Her dad, Jack, died the night before last. We are heartbroken. But his legacy in part lives on in my life, in my story.
So, to all the Wrinkle clan, Rick Wrinkle, Tisha Wrinkle Kelso, and others, your dad (uncle) inspired me in my life.
“Gracious words are a honeycomb, sweet to the soul and healing to the bones” -Proverbs 16:24.
