The 631 Solution

"What I'm hearing you say is...." may feel awkward sometimes, but there is no simpler and greater tool for clear communication. When you state back in your own words what you understood, you show you are listening and thinking, you demonstrate care and intentionality, and you give the original speaker a chance to clarify anything that may have been misunderstood or emphasize the weight that something carries. All this before you ever give a response, but then you can do so thoughtfully, knowing you are speaking to the real issue. It slows down the conversation but speeds up the communication!

That time when we got to attend a birthday party on The Great Wall of China! 🎂🎉😅

We had the privilege of working as coaches for The World Race for four years, coaching four different squads (between 35 and 60 each) of young adults, ages 21-35, as they ministered for 11 months in 11 different countries each. As we connected with them every 2-3 months for debriefing, we got to meet them wherever they were serving in the world. God took us to some pretty amazing places during that time, and taught us so much! We also got to walk alongside some pretty great people that renewed our faith in the younger generation!
