The Reading Mermaid

My name is Taylor, better known as The Reading Mermaid. I live in Rural West Tennessee, working as a Medical Assistant in an urgent care. I’m originally from Wisconsin I got to visit The Last Chapter store front this past Black Friday (I actually got to meet and there) and loved it and what they represent! So I would be honored to rep them across Instagram, Tiktok and my regular everyday life!
I love the romance community for how we just embrace each other no matter what type of romance we love! I love all types of romance and I’ve met all types of people in the romance community who are now forever friends! I actually met a lot of friends from my tiktok audio “I don’t read because I’m smart. I read because I have the mind of a $lut and the heart of a married woman.” So all us romance readers can relate to fun bookish posts no matter what type of romance we read!
Making fun tiktoks and Instagram posts are what get me through my days and let me have fun and let loose, all while sharing my love of romance books! Thank you for the chance to rep for your amazing company!

CROSSROADS

I met West Haven when I was eight years old. He taught me to play poker when I was nine, and we made paper airplanes together when I was eleven. He kissed me when I was sixteen. He was the best part about my family’s summer vacations to Montana. He was the boy who stole my heart. I was twenty-three when life ripped us apart.

Years later, I’m breaking my vow and returning to the ranch, not as a guest but its new owner. West might want me gone, but even he has to admit the only way to save his family’s legacy is with my help.

It’s not easy working side by side and facing those old memories. But this situation is only temporary. We’re at a crossroads. And as long as I don’t let myself fall in love with West Haven again, maybe this is our chance to put those ghosts to rest. Maybe this time we’ll finally be able to say goodbye.
