2023 revolved around the gym training members to get stronger, my furry four-legged kids, and outside adventures. We had to let our 18-year-old Copper (Corgi-Pomerian) go to the other side of the rainbow to eat endless amounts of cheese and chase unlimited squirrels. We acquired Oakley (Miniature Golden Doodle) to keep our 11-year Charlie (Pugla) and 12-year Sirus (Tabby Cat) puppy alert! Here we come 2024!

When did the entitled statement of, “I should already be strong because I hike, bike, run outdoors all the time,” or “I should be a great athlete because I ski/snowboard 50-75 days in a winter season.” Legendary football coach Lou Holtz once said: “Nowadays people only worry about their rights and privileges, 40 years ago they worried about their obligations and responsibilities.” He quoted that in the ’90s! When did the entitlement of being strong come into existence?
Everyone has 100% absolute control over two main concepts in fitness – attitude, and effort. Individuals make a conscious decision every morning to improve her/his career, provide for her/his family, and /or become mentally relaxed/strong person. It really comes down to getting your butt away from the phone/computer screen and moving IT.
