Judge Bob Roupe

Joe Wolf was one of my favorite UNC players as a kid. After graduating in 87, he, Kenny Smith, Dave Popson, Curtis Hunter and Michael Norwood toured the State as the UNC teams did. They played an exhibition game at Jacksonville High. I was blown away with how quickly he got up and down the court, and how he could stand 35 feet from the basket and nail shot after shot. He was very friendly and nice to everyone. Hate to hear of his passing.

Recruiting History: The Kid from Kohler Wisconsin’s greatest prep hoopster, Joe Wolf, was a big recruiting win for Dean Smith and the Tar Heels in 1983.

Here with my friend Ken Lovell, who oversees the Fellowship of Christian Althetes in my Judicial District, Onslow, Duplin, Jones and Sampson Counties. It's a privilege to know Ken and my friend Rachel Albaugh who also works with FCA. It's always encouraging to speak with folks who are truly invested in our community and making it a better place daily.
