Hello, aloha, bienvenido TIYS Clothing! Welcome to the Local Corners Community. This brand of casual apparel was created in Hawaii but is now residing on the East Coast! They take great pride in creating must-have, unique pieces that you’ll want to wear on any of your upcoming adventures.

I recently purchased a long-sleeved fishing shirt from their SALTY line and love it. I actually wore it this past Friday fishing and hooked into a huge redfish! That’s a memory I won’t forget.🤙

They’ve got apparel and items to appeal to anyone. Their hats, tanks, technical shirts, hoodies, and more represent Tiys clothing owners’ Maria and Drake’s personalities; laid back and very stylish.

Don’t be surprised if people come up and ask:
“Where did you get that tank?”
“Who is SALTY?”
It’s already happened to me on multiple occasions and nothing is more enjoyable talking about the brand and the owners I personally met.

Check out their site on https://localcorners.com/tiys-llc-r46qO8rI7. You can also shop their website direct or you can go see them in person September 4th at the Farmers Market.

In an earlier post about Florida Farm Finder, I promised to dispel a few myths about buying from farmers vs. grocery store chains.

Here’s myth #1: Buying from local farmers is more expensive than the store. NOT TRUE!

Farmers markets can be cheaper, especially for produce at the peak of their season. If you plan ahead for various foods during their peak season, and typically when supplies are high, purchasing them in bulk and directly from the farmer can save you an average of 30% on the total bill. How so you ask? Well, for one, buying direct from farmers cuts out the middle men. This gives the farmers a better financial return while allowing them to stay competitive. Take that big chain stores! 👊

So not only are you saving your dollars, you’re contributing to your community’s economy and keeping your farmers in business, and that's good for everyone.

Check out https://localcorners.com/discover?c=farmers-market to find a farmers market in your area! Second Saturday Arts and Farmers Market and Dig Local Network are just a few I like to frequent.

🐸 Ribbit, ribbit.🐸 That’s Frog Song Organics calling all the way from Alachua County, Florida. This group produces health food and jobs within the community and what better than a frog standing in as their mascot knowing in many cultures it symbolizes life!

Frog Song has home delivery and wholesale delivery available! So awesome. A myth dispelled. Orlando, Tampa, Jacksonville and Gainesville are examples of drop off locations

Frog Song believes sustainable farming can be possible with respect to our human, ecological and economic resources. They are a certified organic farm since 2012 and are located only 30 minutes from the University of Florida in Gainesville. Go for a visit, and you’ll see the many varieties of produce, herbs, and flowers plus chickens and little piggies! Everything they grow is directly from their soil to retain its rich flavor.

If you can’t make a trip to their farm, check out their Local Corners page to find them at a farmer’s market near you. https://www.localcorners.com/frog-song-organics-edwptn2rW

Remember, shopping directly from a farmer has many benefits like purchasing seasonally, fresh and ripe foods, increasing your overall health. You’re also supporting your local farmers and keeping your dollars within your community.💵💵💵
