What an incredible morning!
As I sit here reflecting on our very first Pups & Pilates event, my heart is so full. Thank you to every single person who came out, stretched with us, snuggled puppies, laughed with new friends, and helped make this event such a huge success. We truly couldn't have done it without you.

A very special thank you goes to Ruby Beach Brewing for so generously opening your doors and welcoming us into your beautiful space. Thank you to Jacksonville Animal Care & Protective Services for bringing so many wonderful adoptable dogs and for everything your team does every single day for Jacksonville's animals. Huge thank you to the amazing Pilates instructor Jen for keeping everyone moving! And thank you to Monday Coffee for your delicious “Pup Cup Lattes!”

To our amazing volunteers who spent the day before the event bathing shelter pups so they would be looking and feeling their very best -you are absolute rock stars. Your kindness made such a difference. Tango Jordan Makeeta Lé Modél Lindsy Goodman Melissa Ruhlin and Sarah!

Thank you to Liz Hunter for co-hosting this event with us and helping spread the word throughout the community. Your enthusiasm and support helped make this event what it was.

And finally, thank you to Friends of Jacksonville Animals, Inc. (FOJA) for everything you do to raise money and awareness for the medical needs of shelter animals. Your work gives so many dogs a second chance, and we're honored to partner with you.

Right now, ACPS is caring for more than 600 dogs, and many are currently sharing kennels because the shelter is so full. If you're not in a position to adopt, please consider participating in the Dog Day Out program. Spending even a few hours with a shelter dog gives them a much-needed break from the shelter environment, helps them decompress, and often increases their chances of finding a forever home.
