Providing long-term support to families of unsolved homicides through advocacy and awareness

06/05/2026

I’m really honored to share that I’ll be speaking at the National Organization for Victim Assistance’s 52nd Annual Training Event this July.

I’ll be presenting alongside Ryan Backmann (Project: Cold Case) and Whitney St. Andre (The Advocacy Blueprint by True Crime Research Training), where we’ll be leading a session titled Protecting Stories: Advocating for Ethical True Crime Collaborations. Our focus will be on equipping advocates and survivors with the tools to navigate media collaborations ethically and confidently.

The National Organization for Victim Advocacy 52nd Annual Training Event takes place July 21–23, 2026, in Las Vegas and brings together more than 2,000 victim advocates and crisis responders from across the country. It’s a space to learn from subject matter experts, connect with others doing this work, and continue building stronger, more survivor-centered practices.

For 52 years, this conference has represented the heart of advocacy - people coming together to support, learn, and grow. I’m incredibly grateful to be part of it 💙

If you’re attending, I would love to connect with you there!

Another year passes for the families of these victims, most with no answers. This week, we share 34 victims from 21 states, dating back to 1974, with victims ranging in age from 13 years old to 74 years old.

Each of these victims was submitted to us by a family member or law enforcement with family permission. To these families, please know that we stand with you during this time. We wish you peace and comfort as you continue through your journey.

Our promise to you is that your loved one will not be forgotten.
"And sometimes, against all odds, against all logic, we still hope."
