Didn’t realize it never cross posted. Figured the triple stack was interesting. On my normal morning walk around the property to check on my plants, this Psathyrellaceae - aka: Brittlestems, Inkcaps was right next to a pecan tree that I planted back in April. Seems interesting for me because I add Mykos (mycelium root enhancer) and aged wood chips to every plant addition. I’m sure the brittlestem is from spores in the wood chips, but still interesting. I used iNaturalist to identify the species of this wood decomposer. Finally getting an overnight rain storm is just what all these trees needed.

Went on a bit of a transplanting spree out of pure necessity. Yesterday I decided to check the roots because I was worried that I messed up by putting 5 in each pot. My worry was correct roots were tangled, so yesterday and part of today was spent transplanting 90 willow cuttings. From what I understand about them is they are very resilient and can handle rough treatment. This may look like a lot of work for a small tree but if this batch of cuttings is managed properly it could help feed all livestock I ever get. Silvopasture, old technology being relearned.
