He was hated so you can be loved.
He's alive today to ask you for faith.

Why wouldn't you come to Him in worship? It's gratis. He paid it in full.

At LifeSpring today, as we continue to move through John we will explore Chapter 15:18-27, which is freakishly timely...It starts, "If the world hates you..."
The media is showing us a lot of hate right now, partially in an attempt to manipulate and partially in the never-ending search for higher ratings. In the last few days, there have been as many as 50,000 people displaying a tremendous amount of hate and violence (that is a whopping 0.004% of those who voted).
I realize they represent a much greater number of people who feel the same emotions, but their hatred is something to be expected in our current cultural condition.
Jesus was hated; He expected others to be hated; He expected the church to be hated; He expected the gospel to be hated; however, He demanded that truth must be able to endure and stand in the midst of hatred.
How does that happen in the spiritual life? in today's culture? That's what we will touch on today. Come explore this passage and faith today.

One of the ongoing conversations around town this week is, "When is the best time to get your cheese curds?" "Where can we buy tickets ahead of time so we don't have to wait in two lines?"
Similarly, if you see a friend walking around... question: "How is the cheese curd line?"
These things are soooooo good. We got ours on opening night and we're planning for another round today, either during the parade (hoping people are on the route instead of at the tent) or near closing time. Many people drive to cheese days just for these wonderful little pieces of heaven. What if the Optimist Club stopped selling them????
TROUBLE!! (I realize this is a cheesy segue:) Our hearts would be deeply troubled...Cheese Days without cheese curds!!!
Jesus said, "Let not your hearts be troubled." He wasn't talking about a lack of cheese curds but a lack of faith in Him. So many issues can trouble our hearts: children, marriage, health, job, loneliness, etc. Faith in Jesus is a great remedy for being troubled.
