During the last week of school, Coach Stout and Coach Duncan organized PJ’s very first PJ Olympics, where each homeroom competed in a variety of events throughout the day. After a day full of teamwork, competition, and school spirit, Team France was crowned the inaugural 2026 PJ Olympics champion!

Ms. Perritt's Business/Computer Science students finished out the school year by creating business plans, then using the plans to create "Shark Tank" simulations with their classmates being the panelists. Great questions were asked and answered leading to multiple offers, much like the real "Shark Tank"!

Pickens Junior High Basic Ag would like to thank all the local businesses who participated in the co****le board project "Building Community Support, One Board at a Time" this year. Hopkins Paving, Donna Enis with ETC Highlights, Josh Cantrell "Showtime" with GPW, The Ridge Contractors, Will Mathews with M&M Hauling, and ETC. We plan to continue and grow this program, so be on the look out next year if you would like to participate.

Summer meals are available at no cost to children 18 and under. Free summer meals start June 1st and end July 16th, 2026 at the following location:
Pickens High School - 500 Dragon Drive, Jasper
Monday - Thursday from 11:00 to 11:30
Pick up is located inside the school in the hallway between the cafeteria and the weight training room. Enter the school at the outdoor courtyard entrance on the side of the school facing the tennis courts and baseball field.
Closed the week of June 29th - July 3rd

Last week, ropes classes hosted “Parent Days” and their field trip to Central Rock Gym. We had a safe and fun week!

The PJHS PTO will host an End of Year Carnival for our students during school hours on Wednesday, May 20. In addition to games and other activities, the carnival will feature food trucks where students may purchase food and snow cones. Prices will range from $1 to $12.
