CHRISTMAS IN JULY!

Our Womens Ministry will meet to pack Operation Christmas Child shoeboxes AND assemble additional hygiene packs on July 27, 2026 at 6:30 p.m. Everyone is welcome to come and shop our store, fellowship and assemble!

Some will not be physically able to descend the stairway to the basement store room to pack and store shoeboxes, so we will have additional hygiene products for those upstairs to assemble and fellowship over.

We have 100 shoeboxes made up and ready to pack, so we will start there and pack leisurely and intentionally during our time together this month. We may continue to work together during daytime hours over the summer and fall to get the additional 200 boxes packed, if we need to. Our goal this year is to pack and distribute 300 shoeboxes.

If you are not familiar with Operation Christmas Child, you can Google the program. It is part of the Samaritan's Purse organization, and these boxes get distributed all around the world. There are many videos and testimony regarding the shoeboxes and what they mean to the children who receive them.

Our program is run by Debbie Pellman, who does the majority of shopping for our storeroom. The items available are donated or purchased with monetary donations. Debbie has grown our program to an all-year-long ministry in and of itself. We prayerfully load up all our boxes in early November and deliver them to First Southern Baptist Church in Clarksville, and that church then takes all they receive to another distribution point for larger-scale distribution. Eventually the shoeboxes are distributed world wide.

A sign-up sheet will be available in the foyer on Sunday. As always, snacks or finger foods are appreciated.

Sue Coley will be planning our homeless and veterans' outreach activities for October and November. I will continue to work on a presentation on burnout and resilience. I'm not sure how or when it will be presented (I'm considering that), but we will get it done.

If you have an activity, study or outreach you'd like to lead or present, please let us know. We will help and assist in any way we can to accommodate your ideas.

Our mission is to develop relationships with Jesus and each other so that we can act as the heart, hands, and feet of Him in our church, our communities, and the world. We appreciate every one of you and thank the Lord for the health of this ministry. ✝ ❤

WALKING ON SONSHINE 🎵
Keep your spiritual walk strong and your faith energized during the hot summer season.
Here are 4 essential tips to keep your spirit healthy and thriving:
🕶 SONGLASSES: Fix your eyes on things above by filtering what you see and hear. Keep your eyes wide open, focused, and aligned with His truth.
💧LIVING WATER: Hydrate. Hydrate. Hydrate. Spend time in prayer and drink deeply from the living water.
🟡SONSCREEN: Ephesians 6 calls us to protect ourselves daily to shield against the blistering heat of temptations.
🕒 SHADE: Take respite in the secret place of the Most High. Find your rest and strength under the shadow of the Almighty.
Make this season a time of deep growth, transformation, and abundant Sonshine!
🌞Drop a ❤ in the comments if you'll be walking in His light this summer. See less
