Students in Miss Melissa’s Modern Dance class recently selected a modern dancer, dance company, or work that inspired them and created presentations highlighting what they learned. Here are just a few of the artists our students explored, including Martha Graham, Merce Cunningham, Twyla Tharp, and José Limón. These projects encouraged dancers to explore the history, innovation, and creativity that continue to shape dance today.
