Capt. Justin Rieger took home top guide in the guided division for the 2025 Michael Shields Inshore Invitational Tournament! Capt. Justin and the Two & 1/4 Tons of Fun team fished hard for first place out of 36 teams with 518 points catching Snook, Trout, Redfish & Tarpon.

The weather has been cold, but the fishing has been hot over the past week! The Sheepshead bite has been really good and we’ve been able to fill the coolers up with them along with Pompano, Snapper, Spanish Mackerel and more. Anglers have also been able to stay busy catching Jacks, Bluefish, Snook and a few Trout here lately. January is a great month to fish! The wind has been blowing, but the fish have still been biting! Anglers have had success on recent trips catching Snook, Redfish, Jacks, Black Drum, Sheepshead, Spanish Mackerel as well as have had shots at a few Tarpon that have still been around.

As we get into November we will begin to see more of our seasonal winter species pushing through including more Sheepshead, Black Drum, Spanish Mackerel, Croakers, Pompano, Bluefish and more. Anglers will still have their shot at catching Snook as well and Snook season remains open until December 15th for those who are looking to harvest a slot.
