Before you go to sleep tonight, remember this:
Just because you haven’t seen it happen yet doesn’t mean God isn’t working on it.
One of the enemy’s favorite lies is to convince you that because it’s taking longer than you expected, it’s never going to happen.
But God’s timing and our timing are rarely the same.
Think about David.
God anointed him to be king while he was still a shepherd boy.
Yet after the promise came, David didn’t immediately step onto a throne.
There were years in the fields.
Years of serving.
Years of running from Saul.
Years of wondering when the promise would finally come to pass.
To everyone else, it probably looked like David was moving backward.
But God was preparing a king.
Maybe that’s where you are tonight.
You prayed.
You believed.
You obeyed.
And now you’re waiting.
Waiting can feel like nothing is happening.
But God does some of His best work in seasons that seem slow.
He develops character before promotion.
He builds trust before responsibility.
He prepares people before He fulfills promises.
So don’t lose heart tonight.
The oil was poured on David long before the crown was placed on his head.
And the same God who fulfilled His promise to David is still faithful to fulfill what He has spoken over your life.
Rest tonight.
God has not forgotten you.
And He has not forgotten what He said.
Prayer for Tuesday, June 9 🔑
Jesus said in Matthew 16:19, “I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven.”
Keys represent access.
Keys represent authority.
Keys represent solutions.
The interesting thing about keys is this:
not every key opens every door.
A house key won’t start a car.
A mailbox key won’t unlock your front door.
And sometimes in life, we get frustrated because we keep trying the wrong key on the wrong situation.
Some battles require the key of prayer.
Some situations require the key of wisdom.
Some doors open through obedience.
Some chains break through fasting.
Some relationships require forgiveness.
Some seasons require patience and trust.
Let’s pray.
Father, thank You that through Jesus You have given us keys to the Kingdom.
You did not leave us powerless, helpless, or without authority.
Lord, I pray for the person listening right now who feels stuck, frustrated, or uncertain about what to do next.
Give them discernment to know which key this season requires.
When they need wisdom, lead them to Your truth.
When they need strength, teach them to pray.
When pride is blocking the door, give them humility.
When fear is holding them back, give them faith.
When bitterness has locked their heart, give them the grace to forgive.
Father, help them stop forcing doors You never intended for them to open.
And help them recognize the doors You are inviting them to walk through.
Teach them that every situation does not require panic—sometimes it simply requires the right key.
And Lord, thank You that no door the enemy locks is greater than the authority You’ve given through Jesus Christ.
So today, give them wisdom, peace, discernment, and direction for every situation they face.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
