💥Mom doesn’t really mean it until she gets frustrated.

This is the habit so many of us fall into when it comes to parenting…

Parents are frustrated because they have to repeat a direction over and over again.

Parents plan an extra 15 minutes into the transition time because they’ll have to say it over and over again.

Kids learn that we go through this cycle a few times before moved actually need to happen.

With the big day approaching, thought I would bring this one back for anyone else who didn’t get their invite.

Hearing a teenage counselor tell a young kid, “oh yeah, I get anxiety too” and offering ideas of what has helped them…

This is what talking to our kids about emotions in the early years does, raises kids into teenagers that can help support the younger kid as they’re nervous to go into camp.

As parents, we are their biggest influence for only a short time and then it’s the kids around them.

Grateful we’ve shifted the shame around emotions so our little kids’ next big influence can help continue what we’ve started.
