This month, we're taking a moment to highlight advocate Jessica Long.

"I have officially been a CASA since October 30, 2025. Much of my childhood was filled with chaos and uncertainty, and I experienced many of the same circumstances that bring children into the system today. Because of that, becoming a CASA was deeply personal for me. I wanted to be the advocate I wish I had and to be a source of hope, consistency, and support for children facing some of life’s hardest moments. Every child deserves to feel seen, heard, valued, and most importantly loved. We should all be a light in the dark places, and this is one opportunity Jasper County provides for us to shine our light.

I currently advocate for two wonderful little girls, and serving them has been an absolute blessing. Through this journey, I have experienced the heartbreak of witnessing the effects of their trauma, but also the joy of watching their resilience, growth, and hope shine through. Being a CASA has given me the opportunity to offer consistency, support, and encouragement when it is needed most. It is truly an honor to be a small part of these girls’ lives and to walk alongside them on their journey."

Thank you, Jessica, for all that you do! 💙❤️

We are incredibly proud to celebrate our Executive Director, Debi Koelkebeck, for being honored with the John R. Albright Award at the Show Me Service Awards.💙

Debi’s unwavering commitment to child advocacy, her servant leadership, and her vision have transformed countless young lives. From founding Jasper County CASA in 2018 to growing it into a program serving nearly 250 children each year, her impact is truly extraordinary.

This recognition reflects the heart she brings to ensuring every child has a voice and someone standing in their corner.

Congratulations, Debi — so well deserved! 🌟

We had an amazing cooking class with Chef Mike tonight! He not only taught our teens how to prepare and cook their own traditional street tacos, but we also made homemade salsa and got to take the recipes home. Thank you, Chef Mike, for taking the time to share the art of cooking with CASA ♥️💙
