It's been a busy month for the SPS team! Lexi, Wendi, and Aftan recently facilitated a full-day strategic planning session with VOA Alaska's leadership team. VOA Alaska provides behavioral health services to youth and families across the state, and we've had the privilege of supporting them as they refine their mission and chart their path forward for the next five years. This month, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) published the 2023/2024 Sexual Violence Data Brieffrom the National Intimate Partner and Sexual Violence Survey (NISVS) — shedding light on the prevalence of sexual violence across the United States.

• Nearly half of U.S. women have experienced some form of contact sexual violence in their lifetime.
• Over 1 in 3 women report unwanted sexual contact.
• Technology-facilitated sexual violence and verbal harassment are also widespread.
