The Walter Soboleff Building opened in May 2015. It is a cultural and research center for the sharing and study of Tlingit, Haida and Tsimshian cultures.

Today, during First Friday, the Sealaska Heritage Store will feature a buy one, get one free special for Octopus Ink t-shirts, Raven’s brew coffee and Theobroma chocolates during First Friday this week. Also the exhibit Alaska Native Masks: Art & Ceremony will be open to the public. And, 71st Gold Medal basketball tournament tickets are now available at the store.
