Over 100 years and 100 miles later, Petersburg’s first canoe completes its Journey to Celebration - KFSK Over 100 years and miles later, the first traditional canoe from Petersburg completed its maiden voyage. After launching late last month, the pullers on kéet yaakw arrived in Juneau on June 2 just ahead of the biennial Celebration festival, and say the 10-day Journey was powerful in many ways.

"What I'm most proud of is the three major bills that passed, and what I'm most frustrated about is that two of those were vetoed and we were unable to override those vetoes," said Rep. Rebecca Himschoot.
