✨ CORE 45 at @thrivepoweryogapb ✨ It’s officially been 1 year since I’ve started at Thrive Power Yoga Studio! I was nervous at first, wondering if the crowd would enjoy my classes, my choice of music, and well, me 😬 I’ve been at other studios that resisted bringing the element of Pilates and “fitness training” to a yoga space so I was nervous what the members would think of my “Pilates fusion” class Safe to say, one year later, I think you girls (and boys) really love the ass whopping 😆😆 You know it comes from a place of love and empowerment! I create a series of sequencing that builds on progression. Week 1 is fundamental and fun, then we kick it up a notch in week 2. I add harder variations, more dynamic choreography, adding weight or adding a level of instability so you can put those muscles to work while still letting your body and mind remain in flow state. I crank the music up (mainly bc I’m half deaf but it gets the people going 😝) and turn the lights low bc no one needs to see my sweaty face in high def. I love teaching this class at this studio. I’ve felt so connected to all my students who choose to share their mornings with me!
