Day 9. This happened this week.
A founder reached out and said: “I don’t need a sales pitch. I’ve already watched everything you’ve put out and I listen to your podcast. Just tell me what I need to do to get started.”
The roles flipped. I wasn’t selling him — I was qualifying him, because I wasn’t sure yet he was the right fit for us. He was earning his way in.
And how much did he engage during the months he was consuming everything? Zero. I had no idea he existed.
That’s the Consumption Engine. Your content sells before the conversation happens, so the conversation starts at “how do we begin” instead of “convince me.”
Your content is either doing that job for you right now, or that job is another cold pitch on your calendar.
Day 10 tomorrow.
Day 7. If you’re getting crickets on your content, do this before you quit:
Ask your last three customers one question — “did you check out my content before you bought?”
I ask every new client how they found us. Nobody has ever said “I commented on your post.” They say “I’ve been following your stuff for a while.” Months of watching. Zero engagement. I had no idea they existed.
The same thing is happening to you right now. Likes measure who raises their hand in public. Your buyers mostly never will.
Keep posting. The moment you go quiet, you disappear on the people who were almost ready.
FOLLOW along. Day 8 tomorrow.
Day 6 of daily video. It’s uncomfortable. I’m doing it anyway.
I’ve taught Consumption Drives Conversion for years: the more content a buyer consumes, the easier the sale. But most of your buyers consume silently 0 they visit your profile, watch everything, and never like or comment. So the low numbers lie to you.
Trust the process. Stay consistent. That’s the hard part, and it’s where the reward is.
Who’s with me? Drop a comment and follow along — day 7 drops tomorrow.

It’s been a little over three years since my dad passed.
When I’m with family, it’s hard not to look back.
I think about the fun we would have had. The conversations. The laughs. The moments where I know he would’ve had something to say.
He was a legend to me.
And I miss him.
But I’ve also learned something the hard way:
Living in the past doesn’t honor what we lost.
It pulls us away from what’s still here.
The people in front of us. The moments we’re in. The future we still have a responsibility to create.
The same thing happens in business.
A failed launch. A bad hire. A missed opportunity. A season where growth didn’t go the way you wanted.
You can learn from it.
You should learn from it.
But you can’t build the next chapter if you keep rereading the last one.
The people you love don’t need you stuck in yesterday.
And your business doesn’t need you making decisions from old wounds.
Take the lesson.
Bring the love with you.
Then get back to creating what’s next.
