Today we kicked off our unit on Imperialism with a hands-on activity! 🌎✨ Each student received a different set of instructions to “claim” items, but not every list was equal. Some had advantages, while others faced more obstacles.
The kids quickly realized things were not fair, which led to some great discussion! The activity helped show how countries during Imperialism also started with different advantages and disadvantages. Some had stronger militaries, more wealth, technology, and resources, making expansion easier than it was for others. Watching those little lightbulb moments happen was so fun! 📚❤️
