⭐ Emma, our Adoption Director, and Danny, Adoption Connector, recently attended the Adoption Recruitment Workshop hosted by our partners at Family Support Services Suncoast. The workshop was facilitated by Pam Mattice and brought together child welfare professionals dedicated to finding forever families for children in care.🧑‍🧑‍🧒

Danny helped kick off the day by leading an interactive workshop that engaged adoption professionals from Pasco and Pinellas counties in meaningful discussion and collaboration. With 125 children and youth in these counties currently awaiting adoption, participants explored creative strategies to better educate and engage the community, while inspiring more families to open their hearts and homes to children in need of permanency.🏠

The day was filled with collaboration, learning, and a shared commitment to ensuring every child has the opportunity to grow up in a safe, stable, and loving family.💖

At our Quarter 2 Dine & Discover, 13 families learned about Trust-Based Relational Intervention (TBRI) from Courtney Miller from Family Support Systems Suncoast. The trauma-informed approach helps caregivers better understand and support children who have experienced adversity.

🧰 The session provided practical tools for building trust, improving communication, and creating safe, healing environments for children in foster, adoptive, and kinship care.
