The Rustic Draft Rescue

The boys and i are out here trying to get the stalls and paddocks cleaned up since after the rain and then the water pipes busting and flooding everything i can finally move the wheel barrel somewhat outside.!

I am not sure how much the three of us are going to actually accomplish but i figured we could at least give it a go!.

Apollo (aka Chance)

Ms. Catherine rescued him a new big brother.!

“He is so sweet too. He is 15. And there was a guy at the auction trying to buy him to make him continue to pull a carriage. I said nope not happening. He needed a very soft place to land. He had open wounds that needed tending to. We are officially closed to more horses for a very long time lol. I was supposed to be done after Apollo. But when I saw him there I just couldn’t stand it. I had to promise to my husband NO MORE HORSES. But now once Micah is all healthy we have 2 drafts we can ride together when my husband is home. And Apollo has 2 big brothers now lol. Also the vet said Apollo will end up being bigger than Micah. She feels that Apollo is going to be MONSTER size!”

Her vet also said that they expect apollo to mature BIGGER than his new brother!.! 😱😱😱

He is looking so great! Look at all that weight he has on him now!. I sure miss this sweet fella but i am so thankful that he has the softest of landings.!
