ABA Term of the Week: Modeling ✨

Modeling is an effective teaching method that teaches different skills to a learner. Modeling is the act of a clinician showing the learner how to complete a task by performing the steps and narrating the steps. The goal is for the learner to imitate the clinician until they are able to independently complete the task. This strategy requires various forms of prompting based on the individual learner. Our center utilizes modeling each day with our learners to assist in them gaining independence in their social skills, daily routines, their communication, and managing their emotions.
